Ophir Lehavy
Writer. Educator. Communicator.
Ophir is a writer working on her first novel, What We See From Here. The story follows Noa, an American Jewish mother and professor, as she grapples with rising antisemitism on college campuses in 2024. The anti-Israel signs trigger Noa to revisit the lessons of her past when she worked for a peacebuilding non-profit in Tel Aviv. As students come to her for guidance, she faces a reckoning of her American Jewish identity. As she goes deeper into her past, she remembers that true love begins within ourselves, and through that lens, she creates a new path forward.
Ophir has also worked in PR, communications and fundraising in leadership roles and as an educator for the past 25 years.
She lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, two teenagers, and rescue dog Oreo.
